The
threads that make up a being are always a complicated weaving of what you
have come into this world to work on and what you experience here while
you are consciously or unconsciously seeking to do this soul growth work.
Sometimes you need help to do this work and the oldest and yet often the
deepest work of this kind has been done for centuries by Shaman’s in all
parts of the world.
What is a shaman?
Shamans are walkers between worlds.
They journey, going out of their physical bodies into other worlds or
dimensions to gain understanding, knowing, knowledge, the 'bigger picture'
about what someone is dealing with on this plane. From this they enable
the healing of other beings, creatures, people, plants, the land itself.
Journeying is an essential part of being a shaman. It can be difficult and
dangerous. To be a shaman requires total commitment.
Amazingly in all parts of the world shamanism has arisen and no
matter how far apart there have deep similarities in the way this work is
done. This speaks of Jung’s Universal consciousness archetypes being
tapped into by this special type of healer. Of course there are also many
surface differences, but all seem to use the deep journeying and the help
of their power animals and otherworldly beings to help them accomplish
this work.
